Democracy and Criminal Law
Turkish-Hungarian-German Comparative Criminal Law Seminar

The comparative criminal law three-country seminar - Germany, Turkey and Hungary - took place in Konstanz from 7/7/19 to 11/7/19.

The focus was on the democratic legitimacy of criminal law. During the seminar, the participants gained diverse insights into the different legal systems of the individual countries under the theme "Democracy and Criminal Law". The participants had to prepare specific topics and then present them in a comparative manner. The individual presentations brought lively discussions to light.

The purpose of the seminar was to learn the comparative law methodology and to get to know the worth seeing city of Constance. The free time available during the seminar was spent, among other things, with a city tour and guided tour, a lively boat trip to the beautiful island of Mainau and a subsequent Mainau discovery tour - entertaining rally for adults - on the island. A highlight has been Prof. Dr. Thomas Fischer with an excellent as well as instructive lecture.

We would again like to thank all participants and hope to see you again soon.
