Connecting Research in Business Law with Practice

Now how blind is Lady Justice in reality?

"Business" in "Business Law" not only designates the focal point of this particular area of law, but at the same time the central task assigned to academia: real life problems have to be identified and addressed with the best possible legal solutions. Solid grounds in methodology and firm contact with the legal foundations are always taken for granted. A sense for reality of business practice and radicalism of legal thinking are not contradictory by nature.

We are working on functioning solutions. Not because we have to, but because we are able to!

Teaching out of Curiosity

The First State Examination will earn you the right to exercise any legal profession for your entire life and without any need for refreshing or re-examining. This confidence of society sets forth an education that conveys competencies in the best possible meaning and that makes senseless "cramming" of legal trivia futile - only mindful creation of a deeper understanding of structures and system will let you recognize the contours and the inherent order of the unsightly mass of legal matter.

We only achieve this degree of understanding based on curiosity - without curiosity both of the students and of the teachers law studies and law teaching would be a never-ending imposition.

We do not stop learning, because we do not stop wanting to know more!
